QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

So we successfully implement complex projects requiring a profound understanding of branch specifics and attention to technical detail.

THE JOB:

  • Seeking and testing candidates for recruitment to the team of editors, translators, and other service providers
  • Training editors and translators
  • Supervising appointments of service providers to projects
  • Ensuring high quality and timely performance of all editing and translation jobs
  • Working to improve translation quality (providing comments to service providers, updating the terminology base, working with CAT and client feedback)
  • Developing project glossaries, maintaining the database of translators and editors
  • Editing key texts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Translator-editor experience followed by head of translation department or project department of a translation agency
  • At least three years’ experience of co-ordinating and supervising translation and editing work
  • At least seven years’ experience of editing professional texts
  • Higher or further higher linguistic education
  • Skills in organising terminology work
